Watched three movies today. First was 'For 80 days' from Spain by Jon Garano & Jose Mari Goenaga. It's a movie of two old women Maita and Anux who meet coincidentally in hospital after many years. When they were teenage girls in secondary school, it was a time when their friendship could never exceed a socially stipulated boundary. And yet, they were very much in love.Despites the years gone, their emotional bonds remains unchanged. It's a beautifully made movie. I must mentioned here about Anux husband in film. He had done good job in small role. I was thinking after this movie that, we always meet many old friends during festivals. Sometime you make many new friends in festivals. Who give a place in long que, buy popcorn for you, inform you time to time which movie is better, what to watch and what not. It's a fun when after movie you discuss over tea and cigarets. We always think my interpretation is right and we expect from other that they should also believe in that. I have seen in these festivals, many have made their choice to live together.
Anyways, coming to next movie which i actually missed that is from Spain-Mexico 'Biutiful' by Aljandro Gonzalez Inarritu. Today again there was a rush like yesterday for this movie. Actually there were more people today than yesterday for this this movie. This time police came to resolve the problem and finally movie started 30 minus late and those who cold not able to make it today, the show have been organised for them tomorrow 10.30pm. So I am happy that still I have one chance to watch this movie. Will tell you about this movie tomorrow once I watched. Because I missed this movie I watch South Africa movie 'Florida Rod'. Nothing much special about this movie. Same old story and all major characters were Indian. I always hate myself when I don't like the fact that Indian actors should not speak in English. They look so odd when they act. But I should change my view point and take this seriously, that is not to hate them.
The last film was amazing and Director Carlos Gaviria was himself present for his movie today in the theater. 'Retratos en un mar de mentiras' from Colombia. Never thought that Colombia is so beautiful. Really love the cinematography. The cross country journey of brother and sister pt them right in the mouth of the social and political problems Colombia faces. The actress Marina (character name) has done a great job. With very few dialogged she tell so many thing by her expressions. Also Jairo did justice with his character and help u lot to hold the movie for two hours. I think that's enough for today. see you tomorrow.
